• secured a stay of Australian proceedings in favour of parallel proceedings in China, where the client went on to achieve a more favourable outcome
• located a child and obtained orders placing the child on the Family Law Watchlist, preventing removal to mainland China, a country not party to the Hague Child Abduction Convention, where the client would have had little prospect of recovering the child or pursuing parenting orders
• provided expert opinions on Chinese and Australian law to lawyers acting in cross-border matters in both countries
